Zope Developer

We are seeking an experienced Zope Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications using the Zope framework. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, adept at working with complex web applications, and capable of integrating Zope with other technologies and databases.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development and Maintenance:

• Build, deploy, and maintain applications using the Zope framework.
• Enhance existing applications with new features and functionalities.

2. Integration:

• Integrate Zope-based applications with third-party tools, APIs, and databases.
• Ensure compatibility with other frameworks or libraries as needed.

3. Optimization:

• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the system.

4. Code Quality:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

5. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Provide technical support for deployed applications.

6. Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, project managers, and other developers.
• Collaborate on requirement gathering and system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the Zope framework.
• Proficiency in Python and related libraries.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Plone or other CMS built on Zope.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
