Automation Test Engineer - Java/Selenium (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API Automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, scripting, and API testing using industry-standard tools. Experience in the insurance domain is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Automation Development :

- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Java & Selenium.

- Implement robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks.

- Automate UI, functional, and regression testing to ensure software quality.

2. API Automation & Integration Testing :

- Design and execute API test cases using Postman, SoapUI, and REST Assured.

- Automate API testing for SOAP and RESTful APIs, validating responses and payloads.

- Integrate API test suites with CI/CD pipelines.

3. Test Planning & Execution :

- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.

- Execute automated and manual test cases based on project needs.

- Identify, analyze, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution.

4. Performance & Security Testing (Preferred) :

- Conduct basic performance and load testing for APIs and web applications.

- Collaborate with security teams to implement automated security testing.

5. Collaboration & Agile Testing :

- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams in Agile environments.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

- Provide continuous feedback on quality metrics and process improvements.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in Java (Core Java & OOPs concepts)

- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation

- Experience with API Automation (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or equivalent tools)

- Good knowledge of SQL for database validation

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, or similar)

- Strong understanding of Agile & Scrum methodologies

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience in the insurance domain (preferred but not mandatory)

- Performance Testing using JMeter or LoadRunner

- Cloud-based test execution using AWS/Azure environments

- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
