Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions within the transport industry.
- Ensure staffing needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Employee Onboarding: Oversee the employee onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into the company and understand the organization's policies, values, and culture.
- Employee Relations: Act as the point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
- Promote a positive work environment and maintain strong employee relations.
- Performance Management: Support managers and supervisors in conducting performance appraisals, setting performance goals, and implementing development plans for employees.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs to enhance skills, improve performance, and support career growth within the transport industry.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant HR regulations and implement them within the organization.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation packages for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Employee Engagement: Foster employee engagement through various initiatives, surveys, and activities.
- Promote workplace satisfaction and retention.
- HR Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and reports, including employee files, attendance records, and performance evaluations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on HR data.
- Safety & Compliance: Support the development and enforcement of safety policies in line with industry standards.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees in the transport industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist in the Transport, Logistics, or related industries.
- HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training.
- Labor Law Knowledge: In-depth understanding of labor laws, compliance regulations, and industry-specific HR requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee issues.
- HR Software: Experience with HRMS or HR software for payroll, benefits administration, and employee record management.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments to achieve HR objectives.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple HR functions simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in HR (e.G., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Prior experience working in the transportation or logistics industry.
