Description:Firmware Validation/ Integration Engineer Contractor

Responsibilities and Tasks

Direction 1:Defect Management

Failure analysis of bugs coming from Regression

Root Causing the Issues and creating JIRAs and reporting to the Test Developers

Debugging the Issue and fixing the Test Issues

Bug notification Provide all information and sequence to track and replicate the bug in traceability tools

Implementation of sequence to replicate external bugs and integration in validation flow

Collaborate with Development teams

Direction 2:Test Execution

Creating & Managing the Test Plan for Regression

Co-ordinating with Test Developers & Lab Team to trigger the Regression and ensuring the completion of Regression

Monitoring of test time which doesnt cross the stipulated time

Results analysis

Report Generation Report data in a clear format including concise comments about findings

Track document revision to provide historical reference

Direction 3:Test Design & Implementation

Design Test

Define the Test Implementation Strategy

Implementation of test cases-

Define a test automation strategy and plan

Implementation of automatic test to control the execution of tests and comparison of actual with expected results

Education

Required

Bachelors Degree:Engineering Electronics

Desired

Masters Degree:Electronics

Desired Skills/experience

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Storage Firmware Validation/Testing

General knowledge of NVMe storage protocols is a plus

Ability to read and understand Test & FW code

Experience with C, Python and Metaware

Ability to analyze complex firmware, software, and hardware issues in system

Experience with Linux

Ability to analyze problems, diagnose to root cause, and apply corrective actions

Ability to develop product level test plans

Work well with others, work across sites and time zones

Understanding of NAND technology and architecture
