Job Profile:
The IT HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the human resources operations specific to the IT department. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's goals, managing recruitment processes for technical roles, overseeing employee relations, and driving initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and development in the IT domain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for IT roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates.
- Develop strategies to attract and retain top technical talent.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
2. Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Manage employee relations within the IT department, providing support and resolving conflicts.
- Implement performance management processes, including setting KPIs, conducting appraisals, and offering feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
3. HR Strategy & Policy Development:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the IT department.
- Align HR practices with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to the IT industry.
4. Learning & Development:
- Identify training needs and facilitate professional development programs for IT staff.
- Work with leadership to develop succession planning and career growth strategies for technical employees.
5. Compensation & Benefits:
- Analyze and recommend competitive compensation packages and benefits for IT roles.
- Ensure equitable and fair compensation practices within the department.
6. Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics for the IT department.
- Provide regular reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment status.
7. Change Management & Organizational Development:
- Support the IT department during organizational changes, such as restructuring or technology implementation.
- Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
8. Payroll Management:
- Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment of employee wages.
- Manage payroll processing, including calculating salaries, deductions, and overtime.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and labor laws.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries related to payroll.
9. Grievance Management:
- Implement and manage a formal grievance procedure in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Review and address employee grievances promptly and professionally.
- Document grievance processes, outcomes, and follow-up actions.
- Provide support and guidance to employees and management during the grievance process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a similar role within the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of IT recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations specific to the IT industry.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience with data analysis and HR metrics.
