ClickLearn - Quality Assurance Lead - Manual Testing (7-8 yrs)

Job Description :

The QA Lead will manage the quality assurance efforts for software projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications.

This role involves collaborating with development teams to implement testing strategies, monitor QA processes, and continuously improve product quality.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for desktop applications and APIs.

- Evaluate product functionality, usability, performance, security, and compatibility.

- Report and document technical issues, bugs, and test results

- Troubleshoot and debug software problems and help in end-user issue replication.

- Work with the development team to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

- Serve as the primary QA contact for critical production issues, collaborating with technical and support teams to resolve urgent problems and establish rapid testing protocols for high-pressure scenarios.

- Manage the ticketing process to track, prioritize, and resolve issues within SLAs, provide updates to stakeholders, and leverage analytics for process improvements.

- Perform root cause analyses for critical incidents, document findings, recommend solutions, and collaborate with teams to implement preventive actions.

- Lead and mentor QA team members by fostering collaboration, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing technical guidance, and conducting performance evaluations to identify training needs.

- Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and strategies, oversee the execution of manual and automated tests across various testing types, and ensure all activities adhere to timelines and quality standards.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align on requirements, communicate testing progress and quality metrics, and facilitate regular discussions on QA status, issues, and improvements.

- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Quality Assurance Lead Experience and Skills Required :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

- 7 to 8 years of proven experience as a QA engineer.

- Proven experience as a QA Lead or similar role.

- Experience in manual testing.

- Experience in working in an agile/scrum environment.

- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent ability to learn, understand, and articulate software-related and technical concepts.

- Knowledge of software development life cycle and QA methodologies.

- Knowledge of SQL database.

- Good to know about API testing and APIs using tools such as Swagger, Postman, etc.
