Accounts Receivable Collections Associate/sr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to manage and maintain the organizations receivables. The ideal candidate will ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, resolve customer disputes efficiently, and maintain strong relationships with clients to minimize overdue accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Management:

• Review and manage accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices and account statements.

Collections:

• Proactively contact customers via phone, email, or written communication to follow up on overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve payment discrepancies.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

• Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate application of payments.
• Maintain and update collection records, reports, and aging reports.

Customer Interaction:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payment terms, and account balances.
• Resolve billing and payment disputes promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, billing, customer service) to resolve account-related issues.
• Provide periodic updates on collection status and escalate unresolved issues to management.

Compliance and Policies:

• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.
• Recommend and implement improvements to the AR and collections process.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience:
• 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks).
• Skills:
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AR reporting tools.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with B2B or B2C collections.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to credit and collections.
• Certification in credit or AR management (e.g., CCP, CARS).
