Production Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1.ERP System Management:

Accurately enter production data into the ERP system, such as production quantities based on issued POs.

Update ERP records related to work-in-progress (WIP) production.

2.Manpower Handling:

Manage and coordinate shop floor manpower effectively to meet production targets.

Guide and train helpers and operators on machinery operations and safety protocols.

3.Technical and Drawing Interpretation:

Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings to initiate and oversee production activities on the shop floor.

Ensure production aligns with the specifications outlined in technical drawings.

4.Quality Control and Measurement:

Utilize measurement tools to verify dimensions (in mm) and thickness of produced materials.

Conduct inspections to ensure all materials meet required standards.

5.Machinery Knowledge:

Demonstrate expertise in fabrication machinery, including MIG welding, shearing, bending, and grinding.

Provide guidance to operators on the correct and efficient use of machinery.

6.Daily Progress Reporting:

Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to senior management.

7.Paint Coating Inspection:

Perform paint coating checks using DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurement tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1.Intermediate in using ERP systems for data entry and updates.

2.Basic knowledge of Excel for reporting and data analysis.

3.Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings.

4.Knowledge of measurement tools and techniques, understanding of dimensions and material properties.

5.Familiarity with fabrication processes and machinery such as MIG welding, shearing, bending, and grinding.

6.Strong organizational and communication skills for effective manpower handling.

7.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
