MicroStrategy Administration

As a MicroStrategy Administrator, you will spearhead the management and upkeep of MicroStrategy servers and the MicroStrategy tools. A key aspect of your role will involve capacity planning and monitoring, as well as performance tuning for the MicroStrategy infrastructure. Additionally, you will be instrumental in establishing procedures for smooth migration of MicroStrategy applications and configuration objects from the non-prod environment to production.

• Proficient in installing, configuring, and deploying MicroStrategy tool and clients.
  • Competent in managing MicroStrategy security and administration for both internal and external users, including the creation and modification of MicroStrategy roles, LDAP groups, and user interface portals.
  • Skilled in implementing, testing, and documenting new and updated MicroStrategy reporting/Configuration packages for deployment into staging and production environments.
  • Capable of handling day-to-day MicroStrategy content administration tasks, such as applying patches, creating folders/reports/users, and migrating content between development, QA, and production environments.
  • Knowledgeable in supporting all MicroStrategy configuration requirements for new clients and client database migrations, including setting up new MicroStrategy security roles and user interfaces for reporting.
  • Proficient in providing assistance to internal and external clients, conducting demos, and troubleshooting problem reports.
  • Able to support developers by diagnosing reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations and/or cubes/reports/dashboards.
  • Skilled in setting up monitoring and alerts for key performance indicators in the MicroStrategy infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with various tools in the MicroStrategy suite, including Developer, Command Manager, Architect, Object Manager, and License Manager.
  • Experience in capacity sizing and planning for MicroStrategy infrastructure components.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems and ability to write simple scripts.
  • Proficient in SQL troubleshooting, resolving report failures, and managing project and Intelligence server-level governing settings and their impacts.
  • Knowledge of support project activities, including change management and incident management.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including server and storage systems, operating systems, visualization platforms, and disaster recovery tools.
  • Any experience in Tableau and PowerBI administration will be added advantage.
