What You Will Do

Were looking for a Lead UX Designer to join us in the Logo Brand domain within Vista, where we design the tools and experiences to help small businesses get a logo and brand that they love

Our ambitious goal is to give small businesses the best chance of success, enabling them to create a logo and brand they love and providing a home for it to thrive through print, digital and social touch points

The experiences we design help small businesses look and feel professional and successful and in turn, we help Vista become the design and marketing partner for small businesses the world over

In This Role You Will

Lead all design activities for your product team including planning, scoping and research

Handles difficult information and builds consensus

Drive the user experience of the Logo Brand tools from conception to launch, utilising user-centred design methods to craft industry-leading designs

Lead the visual style of the experience, pushing quality, consistency and visual flair across the domain

Use our design system creatively to produce new designs and where appropriate new styles and patterns that are visually cohesive with the rest of the brands Experience Be hands-on at every stage of the design processfrom discovery through detailed design, execution, and iterationcreating user flows, wireframes, pixel-perfect designs, and prototypes along the way to bring ideas to life

Shape and contribute to the product strategy and vision

Partner with product managers to influence the prioritisation of initiatives based on customer insights

Contribute to the development of new products from ideation, opportunity assessment, opportunity development/discovery, business case development, iterative delivery, launch and go to market activities

Contribute to the culture of the Logo Brand Design team by identifying and driving the execution of design-driven projects and initiatives that have a cross-team impact

Work with data, consumer insights, and UX research partners for foundational guidance on product direction, and new concept validation

Provides clear, structured design explanations to immediate and cross-functional team members with confidence and excels in stakeholder communication and mentoring juniors

Networks with senior experts internally and externally

Ensure cohesiveness with the Vista design system and marketing brand guidelines

Share and evangelise user-centred design methods across the team

5-8+ years of experience designing digital products as a UX or Product Designer, preferably in cross-functional agile product teams

4+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams

Strong portfolio showcasing UX and design skills through multiple case studies demonstrating user-centred and innovative design solutions with measurable outcomes for users and the business

Ability to build strong relationships with cross functional peers, including designers, product managers, researchers and engineers

Experience leveraging quantitative and/or qualitative data to inspire simple design solutions and decisions to complex customer and business problems

Ability to move between high level design and detailed design, and between future concepting and near-term implementation

Passion for designing simple solutions to complex consumer and business problems

Ability to clearly and confidently present design concepts and solutions to a variety of audiences and accept and interpret constructive feedback

Highly skilled with type, hierarchy, colour, composition, contrast, and other design fundamentals

Passion for design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, and a willingness to learn and share new ideas with the team

Expertise in the latest design software to create high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes

Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations

Nice to have

Relevant degree in the field of Design or HCI

B2C e-commerce Experience Ability to plan, moderate, and complete a variety of goal-oriented workshops across collaborators, leading to exciting new ideas, new-found consensus, and critical alignment

Experience designing across responsive web and native mobile platforms, as well as within large-scale digital ecosystems

Experience identifying and prioritizing features, as well as participating in complex roadmap planning
