Position Summary... Job summary:

Join the Intellectual Property Center of Excellence team to support Walmart s global patent portfolio. You will collaborate with and assist patent attorneys, inventors, and the business segments to support the invention disclosure intake process, address patent-related questions, and generate dashboards and reports about internal patent statistics.

About Team:

The Intellectual Property Center of Excellence works to ensure that Walmart s intellectual property and intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, are protected and maintained.

What youll do:

• Assisting patent attorneys with conducting patent trainings for Walmart personnel
• Performing outreach to Walmart personnel, including in India, and helping personnel to identify potentially patentable innovations and to draft invention disclosures
• Assist with conducting patent landscape, freedom to operate, and patentability searches
• Participating in internal patent team meetings and patent committee meetings
• Utilizing and maintaining an internal patent database, ensuring data quality, and generating dashboards and reports to track relevant patent statistics and metrics
• Proposing and maintaining internal best practices and procedures to support the company s patent program, including keeping and updating process documents
• Responding to routine inventor and business inquiries related to patent status and patent metrics

What youll bring:

• Experience with Anaqua or a similar IP management system
• Experience working with engineers and RD personnel
• A demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple deadlines
• You can clearly communicate complex technical concepts
• You are process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
