Job Description
Education Qualification
Bachelors degree in mechanical, Engineering. A masters degree or relevant post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience
18-26 years of experience in the Thermal Project industry with a proven track record of successfully leading BOP functions and delivering results in a large-scale power plant or similar setting
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the BOP function, providing strategic direction and overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of BOP activities in the Thermal Project industry.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards, implementing best practices to minimize risk and maximize operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and excellence.
Develop and manage budgets, forecast resource requirements, and drive cost-effective solutions to meet operational goals.
Engage with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to maintain strong relationships and ensure compliance with legal and environmental regulations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on BOP systems, processes, and equipment, supporting the commissioning, maintenance, and reliability of plant assets.
Contribute to the development of long-term strategies, capital plans, and technology roadmaps for sustainable and efficient BOP operations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and driving implementation of best-in-class solutions.
