The Product Stewardship Specialist tracks and analyzes safety metrics and manages the chemical inventory for manufacturing sites
The Product Stewardship Specialist reports to the Occupational Health Team Lead in the Chevron ENGINE.
Key Responsibilities
Injury Reporting/Metrics:
Coordinate and support the Operational Excellence (OE) Product Stewardship process
Management, processing and analysis of monthly metrics
Support the collection and analysis of reportable metrics (Additional Metrics, OSHA Logs)
Tracking and reporting of the time and miles reporting for employee and contractor workhours and miles
Chemical Support:
Support and coordinate the reporting for regulatory, agency, and other external reporting requirements(Occupational Safety Health Administration, BLS, AFPM)
Support Tier II Hazardous Materials Business Plan Reporting (HMBP)
Participate in management of change (MOC) reviews
Manage refinery instruction (RI-313), manufacturing chemical reviews, and client support including evaluation assignment and approvals
Coordinate annual chemical verification
Managing and updating safety data sheet (SDS) system of record (Pro Steward), new chemical verifications/audits/requests
California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) Updates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health, safety, or a related field from a recognized (AICTE) university
Demonstrated knowledge in managing chemical safety data sheets and chemical management programs
Technical understanding of chemical hazards
Knowledge of product regulations and standards within the oil and gas industry is preferred
Proficiency in using product integrity tools and systems, such as SDS, MOC, and incident management, is preferred
Experience in managing chemical inventory and reporting for refineries is preferred
