Server Admin (Cisco UCSC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Server Admin to join our team, responsible for managing and maintaining our Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) infrastructure, as well as our server environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in server administration, with expertise in Cisco UCS, and a solid understanding of data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cisco UCS Administration:

• Manage and maintain Cisco UCS infrastructure, including UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and Blade Servers.
• Configure and troubleshoot UCS components, such as service profiles, pools, and policies.
• Ensure UCS infrastructure is running efficiently and effectively, with optimal performance and uptime.

2. Server Administration:

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure servers are running efficiently and effectively, with optimal performance and uptime.
• Perform routine server maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patches.

3. Data Center Operations:

• Ensure data center infrastructure is running efficiently and effectively, with optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data center systems, including power, cooling, and networking.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.

4. Security and Compliance:

• Ensure Cisco UCS and server infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

5. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Cisco UCS and server infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency.

6. Additional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Cisco UCS, including UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and Blade Servers.
• Strong knowledge of server administration, including Windows and Linux.
• Strong knowledge of data center operations, including power, cooling, and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
