Role Overview: The Senior/Regional Event Operations Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and management of events from inception to completion. This role requires a balance of technical production knowledge, operational efficiency, and strong leadership skills to manage a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Operations & Execution: • Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of event operations, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-ground execution.
• Ensure events are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams (creative, client servicing, design) to align operational plans with event objectives.
2. Production & Technical Management:
• Lead the production team to manage technical elements, including sound, lighting, stage setup, AV, and other production requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and technical recce to evaluate feasibility and potential challenges.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for seamless integration of technical aspects into the event. • Oversee health & safety regulations, risk management, and contingency planning for all events. 3. Team Leadership & Management:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of event managers, coordinators, and technical staff.
• Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and promote cross-functional teamwork.
• Handle crisis situations calmly, guiding the team through high-pressure scenarios and ensuring successful event outcomes.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is executed flawlessly.
• Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term business growth.
• Present event plans, progress, and post-event reports to clients and internal stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience:
7-10 years of event management experience, with a focus on operations, production, and technical aspects.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of event production elements like sound, lighting, AV, staging, and rigging.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing diverse teams in high-pressured environments.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot effectively during events.
• Technology: Proficient in event management software and tools, along with basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software for technical planning.
