Job Description
1. Collaborate with Professors, Students, Inventors, researchers, and legal experts to understand innovative concepts and technologies (Inventor s interview to fetch out the novelty).
2. Draft Patent applications (PS/CS) in compliance with Indian laws, ensuring clear and comprehensive protection for university inventions.
3. Excellent at drafting Patent Claims.
4. Assist in the development of intellectual property strategies, including patent portfolio management and maintenance.
5. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and claims to support patent applications.
6. Liaise with external agencies for filing and prosecution processes.
7. Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize protection.
8. Contribute to the development of an innovative and proactive IPR Cell within the university.
9. Doing IP Awareness in the university.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, IoT, Robotics, AI etc.)
2. Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in patent drafting,prosecution or paralegal.
3. Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations in India.
4. Proficiency in drafting patent claims, and technical specifications
6. Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office (optional).
