As a Senior Career Advisor at Chandigarh University, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting students in their career planning and employment search process. You will work closely with academic faculties, employers, and external stakeholders to provide tailored career advice to students from various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Career Counseling and Guidance:
- Advise and guide students on career options, potential job prospects, and industry trends.
- Conduct one-on-one career counseling sessions to help students understand their unique strengths, skills, and interests.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools and resources to provide comprehensive career guidance.
- Assist students in developing effective resumes, cover letters, and portfolios.

2. Employment Placement and Job Search Support:
- Collaborate with employers and industries to establish partnerships and internship opportunities.

3. Career Development Workshops and Programs:

- Collaborate with department heads and faculty members to integrate career-related learning opportunities into the curriculum.

4. Industry Research and Collaboration:
- Stay abreast of current job market trends, industry demands, and emerging career fields.

Requirements:

- Masters degree in career counseling, human resources, psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in career counseling, vocational guidance, or a similar role.

- Strong understanding of employment market dynamics and industry requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, employers, and external stakeholders.
