Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Planning & Control (PPC) professional to join our team at our heavy engineering equipment manufacturing facility in Yamunanagar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production processes, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labor resources. Collaborate with the design and procurement departments to ensure that the required materials are available on time for production. coordinate with production teams to track and monitor work orders and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

Inventory Management: Manage raw material inventory and ensure efficient use of materials to minimize wastage and optimize production flow. Ensure that production requirements align with inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels for smooth operations.

Capacity Planning: Analyze production capabilities and optimize resources (machines, labor) to ensure production targets are met. Identify bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to increase efficiency.

Production Control: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. Track daily, weekly, and monthly production performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed. Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure product quality standards are met during all stages of production.

Work Order Management: Issue and track work orders, ensuring that all production orders are completed as per customer specifications and within the required time frame. Ensure that the work orders are processed and completed with minimum downtime and maximum efficiency.

Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review. Maintain proper documentation of production schedules, work orders, and inventory levels.

Problem-Solving: Proactively address production delays, quality issues, and any potential disruptions in the production process. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure that equipment is regularly serviced to prevent breakdowns.

Skills: Strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing operations, and PPC techniques. Experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
