Purchase Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible to Review approved requisitions of all General commodities, spares & consumables, Store Stock, Camp furnishing, Non-engineering items, Services etc.
• Floating RFQ and receive competitive offers from vendors.
• Coordination with vendor and end users on clarifications, if any.
• Preparation of commercial comparison and obtain required approvals.
• Preparation of Purchase order in system & co-ordinate for required approvals.
• PO transmittal and Follow-up with vendor and receive PO acknowledgement.
• Desk Expediting with Vendors for timely delivery.
• Follow-up with Central store / Site store for receipt of materials.
• Follow-up with Vendors for MTCs, MSDS, Certificates etc.
• Co-ordinate with central store, Material Controller, Site Store for inbound logistics.
• Co-ordination with Vendors in case of non-receipt of Invoice at Finance dept.
• Review of Open POs & resolve the same.
• Prepare & update of Material/Service Tracking register on need basis.
• Perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as requested by the management

Preferred candidate profile

Education

- Should be a Diploma or Graduate in Engineering discipline

Experience

- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience in similar post with an engineering, construction, EPC,
contracting company

Special Skills & Knowledge:

- Should possess good PR skills and time management skills.

- Should be able to communicate in English;

- Exposure to procurement specific ERP modules

- Should possess negotiating skills

- Must be familiar with engineering construction materials for the oil and gas industry.
