Linux Administrator

5-6 Years of experience in Vulnerability Management, or Cybersecurity with a focus on Linux Administration
Candidate is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across Linux environments
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools
Conduct regular vulnerability scans and Analyze scan results, validate findings, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact
Document remediation processes, incident responses and lessons learnt to improve overall security posture
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in remote infrastructure management vulnerability management or compliance monitoring.
7+ years of working experience in Redhat Linux, Redhat cluster , satellite , patching.
5+ years of experience in OVM , KVM, RHEV, docker container/ openshift.
Experience in deploying; maintaining and supporting Linux Server infrastructures and storage systems in an enterprise environment
Maintain security and OS patch management for linux based systems
Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team
Analyze Change Request; review change requests with the client stake holders; validate the information and execute - High complexity; Critical Emergency Changes
Sound knowledge on SRM, Cluster, DataStore and Disaster Recovery
Participate in Problem Management review meetings and provide root cause analysis
Ability to handle and drive Incident Review bridges by identifying potential Problems; recommend solutions to be implemented
Should possess work experience on migration/upgradation projects
Expertise with information security to analyze vulnerabilities and threats, determine their potential impact, and recommend strategies for risk prevention ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Experience in vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, network admission control, and/or SIEM.
Experience with IT controls monitoring for regulatory and compliance requirements in-depth knowledge of information security best practices.
Knowledge of technical concepts such as cloud computing, automation, networking,middleware and aplication development, tools like Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
Develop and maintain vulnerability management documentation, including policies, procedures, and playbooks, including creating response plans for critical vulnerabilities or emerging threats.
Coordinate with IT and security teams to prioritize and apply security patches and updates, including managing patch deployments.
Engage in vulnerability management program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, providing input on enhancements to scanning and reporting processes.
Comprehensive understanding of network security protocols such as SSL/TLS, threat modeling techniques like STRIDE, and risk assessment methodologies, focusing on identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating potential risks.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Python Ansible.
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholders Good knowledge on ITIL process
Responsible for SLA compliance
Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts
Technical Certification a must Redhat Linux
Possess ITIL certification
