Group Supplier Quality Leader

Role & responsibilities

1. Supplier Quality Assurance

• Develop and implement comprehensive supplier quality management processes to ensure consistent product conformance across all divisions.
• Establish clear quality standards and specifications for suppliers to meet the company's requirements.

2. Audits & Compliance - Plan and execute regular supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.

3. Continuous Improvement

• Lead supplier-focused quality improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.
• Drive process improvements within the supplier base to enhance product quality and reliability.

4. Defect Management

• Oversee the defect management process, ensuring timely resolution and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement root cause analysis and resolve recurring quality issues.

5. Risk Assessment - Conduct quality risk assessments for new and existing suppliers, evaluating their capacity to meet company standards.

• Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential quality-related disruptions.

6. Training & Support - Provide technical training and support to suppliers, aligning their processes and practices with the companys quality standards and Foster a culture of quality excellence within the supplier network.

7. Sustainability in Quality - Partner with the Sustainability and CSR Leader to integrate ESG standards into supplier quality requirements.

Location: Bhopal, Mandideep or Nashik, Maharashtra

Reporting To: Senior Leadership

Scope: Ensuring supplier quality for divisions including Switchgears, Transformers, Railways, and Consumer Products

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field. MBA or advanced certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor) preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in quality management, with a strong focus on supplier quality assurance in manufacturing or engineering industries.
• Proven expertise in quality audits, compliance, and supplier process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards and ESG principles in supplier management.
