REAL Estate Valuation Consultant

Role & responsibilities :

• Independently perform multiple complex valuation assignments on a wide range of illiquid real estate investments distributed across various property types and global locations.
• Manage valuation process include analyzing/determining scope of work, gathering data, and preparing and reviewing valuation models.
• Prepare and present valuation results in a clear and concise manner.
• Analyze and develop investment assumptions related to the current business plans/valuations.
• Balance a large number of projects.
• Manage multiple internal and external data collection workflows.
• Expertise in discounted cash flow (Argus and MS Excel), Sales Comparison Approach, and Cost Approach.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Experience Required :

• In-depth real estate knowledge and experience.
• 5-10 years of commercial real estate and private credit valuation experience within valuation/appraisal, Big 4, or another financial advisory firm.
• Expertise in real estate financial modeling and complex transaction structuring.
• Through understanding of valuation standards (USPAP and IFRS) and financial reporting standards (ASC 820)
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple demands and priorities under tight deadlines.
• In-depth technical knowledge in corporate finance, valuation methods and accounting.
• Proficiency in Argus Enterprise software and MS excel and knowledge of key data sources including Costar, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.
• Experience in business and debt valuation a plus but not required.

Education :

A Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
