Role & responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy & Execution: • Develop Regional Sales Plans: Create and implement a robust sales strategy tailored to the regional market. Ensure alignment with the companys overall sales objectives and strategic initiatives. • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Adapt the sales strategy accordingly. • Sales Target Management: Set clear, measurable goals for the region and work with the sales team to achieve or exceed these targets. Track performance against goals and adjust strategies as necessary. 2. Team Leadership & Development: • Lead & Manage Sales Team: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives. Ensure they are focused, inspired, and equipped to meet their individual sales targets. • Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment and hiring of new sales talent. Conduct effective onboarding and initial training programs to ensure new hires are well-equipped to succeed. • Performance Management: Set clear expectations for performance. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development to team members. Conduct performance reviews and create action plans for improvement where necessary. • Training & Skill Development: Organize ongoing training and development sessions to improve the skills and knowledge of the sales team, keeping them updated on industry trends, product offerings, and best practices. 3. Client Relationship Management: • Manage Key Accounts: Cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts and top-tier clients in the region. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address concerns proactively. • New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the client base in the region. Drive sales through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and attending industry events. • Customer Retention & Upselling: Foster deep relationships with existing clients, aiming for high retention rates and opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services. • Customer Feedback & Resolution: Handle customer complaints or escalations in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring satisfaction and continued business relationships. 4. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: • Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate and detailed sales forecasts for the region. Work with the sales team to analyse current sales data and predict future revenue streams. • Reporting to Management: Regularly report on sales progress, challenges, and key wins to senior management. Provide detailed reports on KPIs, sales targets, and customer feedback. • CRM Utilization: Utilize CRM tools to track all sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions. Ensure all team members follow the CRM process to ensure accurate data is recorded. 5. Market Expansion & Growth: • Identify New Opportunities: Analyse regional market trends to uncover new sales opportunities. This could include untapped customer segments or underserved geographical areas. • Drive Regional Expansion: Propose and implement strategies for market expansion within the region. Collaborate with the marketing team on initiatives designed to increase brand visibility and awareness. • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, distributors, and other entities that can help drive regional growth and sales. 6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: • Coordinate with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure sales campaigns are aligned with the overall marketing strategy. Provide input on product launches, pricing, and promotions. • Coordinate with Product Development: Work closely with product teams to provide feedback on customer needs and ensure the product offerings meet regional demand. • Collaborate with Customer Service: Ensure smooth handover of clients from the sales process to customer service. Work closely to resolve customer issues and enhance satisfaction. 7. Budgeting & Resource Management: • Sales Budget Management: Manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation. Monitor travel, marketing, and promotional expenses within the region. • Resource Planning: Ensure the sales team has the necessary tools and resources to succeed, including training, CRM systems, and sales collateral
Preferred candidate profile:
At least 5-7 years of proven experience from the Aluminum Foundry Industry or similar industry. Experience in managing and developing sales strategies across a broad region or territory.
A proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets in competitive exam.
