Everyone worries about the dooms-day in climate change which is expected to occur in the 2050s. However, theres one dooms day which is the reality for millions of people around the world today. Air pollution takes more than 7 Million lives globally every single year. Over 5% of premature children death occur due to air pollution in developing countries. Everyone has relied on governments or experts to solve the problem, but most solutions up until today have either been too expensive or too ineffective. Praan is an attempt at making the future cleaner, healthier, and safer for the generations to come.
As the Technical Program Manager at Praan, you will partner with the Founders Office and technical teams to ensure that the companys technology outcomes are met successfully within defined timeframes. You would be responsible for ensuring resource planning, time planning, and exceptional cross-team communication to test and deliver products and services on time. You will be working across Praans Filter-less Air purification systems (MKII, MKII Mini), Best-In-Class HIVE Indoor Air Purification Systems (HIVE, Accessories), Carbon Capture and Utilisation projects (Direct-Air-Capture and Conversion), Spatial-AI systems (EDITH), and other internal projects.
Job Description
Partner with the founder and tech lead to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple complex technical programs, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and timelines
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, timelines, and resource allocations
Set clear goals and objectives for project teams, and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities
Ensure resource planning and availability basis project plans to ensure the team is adequately resourced to achieve desired outcomes.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between diverse technical teams, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, and engineering disciplines
Collaborate closely with technical leads to manage technical risks and address challenges as they arise
Identify potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks that may impact project delivery, and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Troubleshoot technical issues and conflicts that may arise during the development process, working closely with teams to find effective solutions
Ensure that all projects meet quality standards and technical specifications by implementing rigorous testing and validation processes
Conduct regular reviews of project deliverables to confirm alignment with technical and business requirements
Drive the adoption of best practices in project management, Agile methodologies, and team collaboration to enhance efficiency and productivity
Prepare and present detailed program reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, project milestones, and potential roadblocks
Skill Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in shipping complex hardware products and managing multiple product lines from concept to launch
Proven experience of managing technical teams of 20 or more team members, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
4+ years of experience in technical program management or a related role
Strong understanding of engineering principles across Electrical, Embedded, Mechanical, Computer Vision, Software, Chemical engineering
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in implementing these practices in project management
Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
