Senior Manager/AGM-Cost Accountant

Role & responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Lead financial reporting as per IFRS & Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
• Ensure timely and accurate finalization of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheet.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.
• Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

2. Statutory & Cost Audit

• Handle Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, and Internal Audit processes.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities for smooth execution of audits.
• Ensure adherence to Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.

3. Cost Accounting & Budgeting

• Develop and monitor costing models, cost control measures, and variance analysis.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives to improve profitability.
• Prepare and analyze cost sheets, cost variance reports, and pricing models.
• Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

4. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Provide insights on financial performance, cost structures, and profitability trends.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve financial efficiency and cost management.

5. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Direct & Indirect Tax regulations (GST, TDS, Transfer Pricing, etc.).
• Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments and filings.
• Support regulatory reporting and compliance filings.

6. ERP & Process Automation

• Leverage ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) for accurate financial reporting.
• Implement process improvements and automation in financial operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be preferred.
