Role Definition

As a Senior Associate Engineer of CAD Process Automation, you shall be responsible to demonstrate and develop the CAD application automation tools like API Creation, Plug-ins, Excel-based automations supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design.

Job Responsibilities

• The candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications. Experience should include demonstrated results building CAD application automation tools like API creation, Plug-ins, excel-based automations supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design.
• In addition, Candidate should have a thorough understanding of Design applications such as Autodesk with technical understanding of modeling, drafting, and design drawing creation. Working knowledge and experience with database management using SQL, power apps, and Power BI and experience with Solar Turbines strongly preferred.

• Discuss with engineering personnel, leads, and managers to provide recommendations for the development of new process / CAD automation for product design, and the improvement of existing processes.
• Provides robust design process methods to eliminate failure modes. Understands design guidelines and implements the same while automating the design process.
• Develops automated solutions to optimize CAD operations and Workflows
• Focus to Improve efficiency and precision in CAD design through scripting and Tool development
• Develop and Implement automation scripts and tools to enhance CAD Software capabilities
• Maintain and Update existing CAD automation tools and scripts
• Conduct regular reviews and updates to automation processes to ensure continuous improvement

• Knowledge on Gas Turbines and Packaging systems & components are added advantages.
• Coordinate with several functional team to progress the design intent (Hydro/Electrical/HMI Groups)
• Good Presentation skill and demonstrate the capability through Design Review Meeting
• Must apply practical design considerations and utilize technical knowledge to achieve design objectives relative to manufacturability, cost, quality, and durability.
• Support innovation by applying the most effective Design solution for new product development.
• Continuously challenges self-skills in functional area and stays current with industry developments in one s field of expertise
• Become part of the product team and form close working relationships by understanding the whole system function and presenting solutions and design direction to the design community in an insightful and timely manner.
• Excellent in modelling techniques using Creo parametric / Autodesk
• Good exposure to the use of Product Lifecycle Management tool - Windchill
• Good Exposure on ASME/API/ISO/ANSI & DIN

Desired Required Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications Good communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are a must. Working knowledge of computer aided design & drafting CADD system Knowledge of gas turbine operations, and driven equipment Field experience, knowledge on Windchill, BOP & Promis-e would be an added advantage.

Uses CAD to perform basic drafting such as wire frames, solid objects and array of objects.

Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.
