Role Definition :
Oversees and coordinates the activities of a more complex production line, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards. Supervises Operations of one to five Team Leads in assigned Manufacturing area and reports to Senior Production Manager

Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe running of the respective production line - eliminating any un-safe operations and maintaining 5S and a clean working environment

Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to operating procedures and creating reports and records of production processes, tooling issues, and inventory; escalating issues and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.

Meet production targets and schedules

Ensures product and process quality by conducting standard work audits, Gemba walk audits.

Focuses on Continuous Improvement and Kaizens to improve working conditions, efficiency improvements, and safety and quality improvement

Supervising and directing the daily activities of production lines workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.

Training new hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Focus on Lean Manufacturing:

• Owns the value stream map for their respective section. Partners with support groups in the implementation of changes needed to achieve future state.
• Adjusts section staffing to meet flow and customer requirements.
• Practices and coaches Lean guiding principles and problem solving techniques.
• Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members.
• Drives Root Cause identification. Drives Continuous Improvement process.
• Reports section status. Monitors and audits PQVC metrics.
• Assists with creating, training and implementing standard work.
• Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, affirmative action, etc. in performing assigned duties.

Degree Requirement: Engineering Degree or Equivalent

Experience: 7 -10 Years in a Production Environment with 3-4 years Supervisory Experience

Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
Level Extensive Experience:
Performs safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment
Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.
Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action.
Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations.
