Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing, working closely with senior engineers and contributing to the overall framework.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automated test scripts for UI and API to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Perform database testing to ensure data integrity and validate business logic.
- Actively participate in the software development lifecycle, applying best practices in testing methodologies.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines for test automation integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug test failures, collaborating with developers to identify and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation framework.
- Provide clear and concise test results and reports.
- Collaborate with manual testers to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Utilize JIRA or Azure DevOps for bug tracking, test case management, and project tracking.
What you will have
- Demonstrable experience in UI and API automation testing.
- Proficient programming skills in Python (preferred) or Java.
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.
- Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as Requests, Rest Assured, Postman, or JMeter.
- Experience with database testing (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Solid understanding of testing processes, both manual and automated.
- Experience with version control tools (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps (or similar bug tracking and project management tools).
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Oracle cloud platforms.
- Exposure to performance testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle cloud platforms.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
