Role Definition

Manages multiple or complex engineering projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, or

value chains.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Coordinating resources across the businesses with Marine Dealers, Shipyards and the Application and Installation
• Overseeing project progress and monitors costs; communicating status with stakeholders.
• Addressing and resolving problems this includes frequent travel to both Dealers and Shipyards to conduct status audits
• and provide guidance and direction.
• Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.

Degree Requirement

• Degree required or Equivalent
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Marine Academy, Computer Science, or Materials Science

• Oversees implementation activities for multiple products for Marine installations.

• Ability to communicate the clear needs of the Marine Business unit. This includes implementing and assuring the requirements of the Application and Installation are well known and applied.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Champions organizations project management methodology, tools, and techniques.

• Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Coaches others in open communication among project stakeholders.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.

• Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems.
• Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs.
• Coaches others how to resolve integration or communications problems in multi-vendor environment.
• Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approach.
• Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.

Product Design: Knowledge of product features; ability to understand and lead on the detailed concepts of Marine Engine installations.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Solid understanding of the diesel engine.
• Ability to understand the electronic controls of engine installations
• Solod understanding of vessel construction
• Solid Understanding of vessel operation
