Category Manager - Pricing

Job Summary:

Cars24 is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Category Manager - Pricing to take ownership of pricing strategies across all car categories in the assigned region. This role requires expertise in market pricing analysis, efficient sorting of car pricing, and driving actionable insights to achieve sales targets within set timelines. Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background from IIMs or top-tier institutions (Tier 2 or Tier 3 colleges) and a passion for leveraging data to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pricing Strategy and Execution:
• Develop and execute robust pricing strategies for all car categories across the region.
• Ensure price competitiveness by analyzing market trends, demand-supply dynamics, and competitor activities

2. Market Pricing Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth market research to benchmark pricing against industry standards.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to enhance Cars24s pricing edge in the market.

3..Sales-Driven Analytics:

• Leverage data insights to drive car sales within defined timelines.
• Develop predictive models to forecast sales impact based on pricing strategies

4. Process Optimization:

• Streamline pricing and category management processes to improve efficiency.
• Implement real-time adjustments to pricing strategies in response to market fluctuations.

5.Collaboration Across Teams:

• Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align pricing with business goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders to enhance overall performance.

6. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

• Monitor pricing performance and its impact on sales and profitability.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: MBA from IIM or other Tier 2/Tier 3 colleges (preferred).
• Proven experience in pricing, category management, or market analysis, preferably in the automotive or e-commerce sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for understanding market trends and customer behavior.
