CAST Software - Cloud Architect - IAC Terraform (5-6 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that meet our organization's needs. You will play a crucial role in our cloud strategy, working closely with various teams to ensure optimal cloud architecture, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business objectives.

- Assess current cloud solutions and recommend improvements or new technologies.

- Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures across various platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Create architectural blueprints and documentation for cloud solutions.

- Lead the migration of existing applications and systems to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Oversee the deployment of cloud solutions and ensure proper configuration and integration.

- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and optimize resources for cost efficiency and performance.

- Implement monitoring tools and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud services.

- Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices to protect sensitive data and applications.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cloud operations.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to deliver effective cloud solutions.

- Communicate architectural concepts and project progress to stakeholders at all levels.

- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.

- Evaluate new tools and services to enhance cloud infrastructure and application performance.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams on cloud technologies

and architectures.

- Lead technical discussions and workshops to promote cloud best practices within the organization.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree

preferred.

- Strong expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Proficiency in cloud-native technologies (containers, microservices, serverless architectures).

- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

environment.
