Indirect Tax Specialist

Job title: Indirect Tax Specialist - Pune Plant

Managing the Indirect activities and compliances for CNH Industrial India Pune plant including the following:

- Preparation and filing of monthly and annual returns

- Tracking and submission of Job Work details

- Maintenance of Purchase and Sales Registers on a monthly and annual basis

- All necessary GST reconciliations with books of accounts

Ensure all indirect tax compliance for Pune plant and the Maharashtra state in a timely manner

Add value by advising the business on different matters pertaining to indirect taxes and provide support during statutory and other audits

Minimise risk when taking decisions and calls.

Utilize the available incentives and strategize to ensure optimization of cash tax

Liase with relevant consultants and ensure that indirect tax assessments, audits and litigations are resolved

Liase with all stakeholders (internal and external) to educate all in relation to the changes in laws and regulations and the impact thereof on a proactive basis so that we as an organization are able to achieve objectives on a timely basis.

Regularly review all litigation to ensure that any corrective actions are taken on a timely basis

Have proficiency in working with LN/ other ERP systems

Review on a regular basis our own competencies and upgrade the competencies within the department.

Focus on improving automation and utilization of digital tools and systems to improve accuracy and turn-around time for reporting and compliances

Qualifications Experience:

B.Com/ M.Com/ M.B.A

8-10 years experience in Indirect Taxes

Accuracy and precision

Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated

Willingness to take lead on additional projects and take it to logical conclusion with minimal direction

Ability to read, apply to situations and seek examples from peers across industry

Cross-functional, multi-level collaboration skills

Ability to come back from transitional issues, in the wake of setbacks and look at issues from a logical perspective.
