Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance (5-6 yrs)

Job Description :

- Resource should be of testing background. Ie. Manual / Automation / Performance

- Hands on experience with test management tools ALM, Azure

- Hands on/Good knowledge on applications such as ALM, LRE, MF Connect, UFT

- Fair understanding on servers, infrastructural needs, networking needs of ALM / LRE

- Good to have knowledge on LoadRunner Enterprise, LoadRunner Cloud

- Experience in handling support tickets

- Application Support mindset

- Adoptive in nature with learning mindset

- Ready to learn new things and deliver customer needs

- Evaluating the market tools, comparing existing tools for better options for organization

- Good understanding of Azure testing capabilities

- Sound understanding of maintenance activities of applications

- Good knowledge about application upgrades, patches, hot fixes for applications

Primary Skills :

Selenium with Java :

- Proficient in developing and maintaining automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.

- Good understanding of Java programming concepts, object-oriented programming (OOPS).

- Experience in using Java-based test frameworks.

Test Automation Tools :

- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter for testing banking applications under various load conditions.

CI/CD and Version Control :

- Experience in integrating automation scripts with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for automated build and deployment processes.

- Strong understanding of version control systems like SVN or Git for managing automation code repositories.

Test Management Tools :

- Proficiency in using test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or ALM for tracking test cases, reporting defects, and managing test execution cycles.

Secondary Skills :

Database Testing :

- Ability to write complex SQL queries for validating data integrity across banking databases.

- Experience in testing stored procedures, triggers, and data migrations in banking systems.

Cloud Platforms :

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, especially in testing cloud-hosted banking applications.

- Understanding of cloud-based testing environments and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes.

Agile Methodologies :

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

- Ability to apply agile testing principles like continuous testing.

API and Web Services Testing :

- Experience in testing RESTful and SOAP APIs for banking services.

- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and data validation techniques for API testing.
