As400 Developer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with expertise in RPG IV, Free-Form RPG, and Embedded SQL to join our ERP team. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and improve ERP applications on the AS400/iSeries platform. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ERP applications using RPG IV, Free-Form RPG, and Embedded SQL.
• Build and manage Service Programs to support key business processes.
• Identify and resolve issues in the ERP system to ensure smooth operations.
• Integrate AS400 applications with other tools and systems as needed.
• Create clear and thorough documentation for code and processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Use version control systems to manage and track code changes.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with RPG IV, Free-Form RPG, and Embedded SQL on AS400/iSeries systems.
• Experience working with Service Programs in ERP environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating ERP applications with other tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Agile methodologies is an advantage.
