Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

Weekly Payroll Processing

• Process timesheets accurately and execute weekly and monthly payroll for Locum and PAYE staff.
• Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits to ensure payroll accuracy and mitigate fraud risks.
• Address payroll-related queries promptly and effectively.
• Perform periodic audits and due diligence on umbrella companies to ensure compliance.
• Handle pay-related and umbrella company inquiries efficiently.

Supplier Payments

• Review and authorize supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment processing.
• Track and manage administrative costs for Indian branch operations, implementing cost optimization measures.
• Analyse operational expenses and provide actionable cost-control recommendations to management.
• Negotiate contracts, agreements, and payment terms with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Liaise with suppliers, government entities, and private institutions regarding payments and queries.

Credit Control

• Monitor and manage outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment collection.
• Communicate professionally with clients to resolve payment issues and disputes.
• Prepare and analyse aging reports to track receivables and escalate overdue accounts as necessary.

Business Data Analysis

• Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), with a focus on financial metrics like sales, expenses, and profit

margins.

• Monitor and address unexpected variances in KPIs.
• Prepare ad-hoc business performance reports as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualification in CIMA or ACCA is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in finance or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge of supplier management and credit control processes.
