Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager for Housing and Mortgages is responsible for overseeing sales operations and driving business growth within a designated region. The primary focus is on the promotion and sale of mortgage products and housing solutions to individuals, real estate professionals, and institutional clients. The role requires a strategic leader to manage and develop a team of sales representatives, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure targets are met for both residential and commercial mortgage products.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve monthly and annual sales targets for mortgage and housing products.
    • Set individual performance goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and sales training to ensure product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance with industry regulations.
  2. Business Development and Client Relationship Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow the mortgage portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share within the region.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with real estate agents, brokers, developers, and financial institutions to drive business development.
    • Work closely with key clients to understand their needs and provide tailored housing and mortgage solutions.
  3. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
    • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings to develop effective sales strategies.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create regional campaigns that drive leads, increase brand visibility, and enhance customer engagement.
    • Provide feedback and insights to upper management for product development and strategic planning.
  4. Sales Operations and Reporting:
    • Oversee the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and closure of leads.
    • Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and actionable insights to senior leadership.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions.
  5. Product Knowledge and Compliance:
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the companys mortgage products, housing offerings, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure that all sales practices and procedures comply with legal and regulatory standards, including fair lending practices and data privacy laws.
    • Stay up to date with local, state, and national housing and mortgage regulations to ensure compliance.
  6. Customer Service and Support:
    • Handle escalated customer issues, providing solutions to resolve concerns and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Work closely with underwriting, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth loan application and approval process.
    • Provide clients with expert advice on mortgage rates, terms, and loan options.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage sales, housing, or real estate sales, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and real estate markets.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and create actionable sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national mortgage and housing regulations.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
