Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between senior management and the workforce to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives, particularly in mechanical engineering projects and quality management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards , such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant certifications, within mechanical engineering processes and systems.
  • Implement and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) , ensuring all mechanical engineering operations align with the system’s requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of mechanical engineering practices and processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on the performance of the QMS to top management, including issues, corrective actions, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement within mechanical engineering projects, identifying opportunities to enhance product quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards in mechanical engineering operations.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on the company’s quality and safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in mechanical engineering procurement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including production, engineering, and R&D, to optimize quality and operational processes in mechanical engineering projects.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analyses on quality issues or non-conformities within mechanical projects, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Ensure documentation control , including managing quality records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions within the mechanical engineering department.
  • Support management in strategic planning related to quality, efficiency, and cost control for mechanical engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in quality management or process improvement within a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Experience with audits , inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical processes, manufacturing, and engineering systems .
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and meet quality objectives.
  • Leadership skills to guide teams and manage quality initiatives across departments.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey quality-related information to management and staff.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement corrective actions within mechanical engineering processes.
  • Project management skills , including managing multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Proficient in quality management tools such as root cause analysis, failure mode analysis (FMEA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards relevant to mechanical engineering operations.
  • Attention to detail in ensuring that engineering processes and systems meet quality standards.
