Position Purpose:
- Role requires the person to develop and maintain ESG product / service and support the relationship teams.
- The role requires candidate to work in environment with diversity of work, and someone who embraces to work both independently and in teams.
- Candidate should have research and analytical bent of mind to understand and make use of various research reports on ESG topics and can incorporate the knowledge & understanding in development of products and services.
- The role requires the candidate to demonstrate the high degree of problem-solving capacity and ability to come up with innovative solutions.
- Strong knowledge on concepts like ESG, climate change, ESG assessment, frameworks, reporting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Awareness about ESG and sustainability disclosures by companies - GRI, CDP, TCFD, BRSR etc.
- Candidate should be aware about key environment, social and governance aspects that can be identified and factored into the company analysis.
- Prepare high quality case profiles based on the analysis undertaken on companies. Thus, role requires excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong conviction skills.
- Ability to develop ESG strategy, metrics, KPIs, policies and sustainability reporting.
- Partner with across teams on various ESG assessments, including developing proposals, tracking and applying to tenders and engage with companies on various ESG related deliverables.
Ideal candidate should have knowledge/ awareness about following:
- Knowledge on ESG, key developments around it and awareness on upcoming regulations.
- ESG reporting standards domestic and global.
- Good writing skills. Candidate should be able to write crisp and effective summary of findings in research report.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and PPT skills.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in related discipline (environment and/or social sciences, energy management, sustainability, engineering, or related fields).
- Bachelor's qualification in environment or sustainability areas.
- Previous work experience in below areas ESG consulting and advisory, ESG assessment & research publication.
