Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Android applications that align with our product goals. This role requires a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centric products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while ensuring top-notch performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, scalable code.
Design, build, and maintain performant, reusable, and reliable Kotlin/Java code.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Diagnose and fix bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and back-end teams to improve user experience and functionality.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards.
Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the Android ecosystem.
Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
Guide and mentor junior developers to elevate the teams technical expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years of Android development experience, including leadership or mentorship roles.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and its components.
- Expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications with back-end services.
- Proficiency in designing for multiple screen sizes and orientations.
UI/UX Design Principles:
- Understanding of Android design patterns and best practices.
- Experience creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Performance Optimization:
- Hands-on experience with offline storage, threading, and app performance tuning.
- Familiarity with tools like Profilers.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with push notifications, and Google APIs.
- Proficient with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of open-source Android libraries like Dagger, Retrofit, and Glide.
