We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team in Bangalore and drive the growth of our IT services business, particularly within the SAP market.

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager at Canopus GBS, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and driving revenue growth for our IT services, with a strong focus on staffing services. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans, collaborate with partners, and work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients. A key focus will be developing relationships within the SAP market and working alongside SAP teams. -

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

New Business Development:

- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets and industries.

- Generate leads, qualify prospects, and build a robust sales pipeline.

- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs.

Partner Collaboration:

- Work closely with our partners to develop and execute joint sales strategies across multiple platforms.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partner stakeholders.

Value Proposition Development:

- Develop innovative ideas and create compelling offers and value propositions that resonate with clients.

- Tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of each client.

Sales Pipeline Management:

- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

- Follow up on sales leads and move prospects through the sales cycle.

Client Engagement and Travel:

- Travel to client locations and industry events to conduct sales presentations and build relationships.

- Represent Canopus GBS professionally and effectively.

Proposal Development and Internal Collaboration:

- Liaise with the internal delivery and sales support teams to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals.

- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between sales and delivery teams.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

- Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

- Suggest strategic initiatives to maintain a competitive advantage.

Brand Building and Networking:

- Attend industry seminars, analyst forums, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.

- Represent Canopus GBS as a thought leader in the IT services industry.

Reporting and Management Information:

- Monitor and report on sales activities and performance metrics.

- Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and market insights.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.

- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in IT sales, with a proven track record of success. -

- Mandatory experience in Staffing services sales is a MUST.

- Experience in solution selling and exposure to large SAP deals is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of the IT services market and industry trends.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners. -

- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently. -

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Ability to work closely with global delivery and sales support teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.

- Ability to travel as needed.
