POSITION TITLE

Apprentice GBS Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY:

We seek a motivated individual to join our GBS Creative & Translation Services team as an Apprentice in the Graphic Design vertical. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn and apply Graphic Design skills across various media, including Herbalifes global social media accounts, advertising, logo and branding, web, print, product, packaging and more. You will work closely with experienced Creative professionals to contribute to the overall success of our organization.

As a Graphic Design Apprentice, you will:

• Collaborate with Senior Graphic Designers, function leads, vendors, and cross-functional creative team members to ensure compliance with the apprenticeship program for Herbalife GBS India.
• Serve as a point of contact for potential and current employees, assisting with:
• Graphic design – Social media assets, SBs, logos, brochures, posters, social media content and other branded collaterals

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

In this role, the Apprentice will get hands-on working experience and a chance to collaborate with seasoned Graphic Designers and Creative talents to work on social media assets, campaigns, product launches and more:

• Logo brochures, posters, social media content and other branded collaterals
• Get a chance to work on digital assets for the web and mobile
• Understand the steps involved in developing any creative asset by being part of the entire creative process from Conceptualisation to final execution
• Learn how to work collaboratively with the Video and content teams to create and develop a design as per the client brief
• Work with senior designers to learn how to conceptualize, art direct, and design various company, sales, and Marketing pieces.
• Learn how to apply creative and art direction in the execution of various materials, such as print, web, video, environmental branding, etc., for different clients across the globe
• Ensure constant and accurate communication between all team members, designers, writers, production artists and Managers.
• Understand how brand guidelines can help shape a brand presence on social media
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and learn to conceptualize ideas
• Get a chance to work on global projects to drive the Herbalife brand across all design vehicles —packaging, advertising, facilities branding, brand style guides, and other requests in collaboration with the Designers.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

• Design graduates, preferably Bachelor in Design (B.Des) from reputed design institutes like NID, NIFT, UID and Srishti
• Design graduates with a specialisation in communication design/graphic design preferred
• Graphic design – Must have the necessary software knowledge to design logos, brochures, posters, social media content and other branded collaterals
• Basic knowledge about creating digital assets for Social Media, Mobile apps and websites
• Illustrations – Skilled in hand-drawn or vector illustrations is a plus
• Must have a good design portfolio with diverse work showcasing work done previously
• Keen interest in staying updated with the latest design and social media trends
• Good communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design ideas and concepts
• Basic knowledge in video domain (video stitching, gif animation, photography)
• Knowledge about print production
• High level of integrity
• Interpersonal skills
• Willing to learn and prioritize workload
• Ability to adapt and learn progressively
• Good team player
