Joinery Interior Draftsman / Senior Joinery Interior Draftsman

1) Develop detailed joinery shop drawings based on architectural plans and specifications.

2) Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers to ensure design feasibility & accuracy.

3) Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including material lists, cut sheets, and assembly instructions.

4) Hands-on experience in using AutoCAD to produce high-quality drawings and layouts.

5) Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, as well as company standards.

6) Revise and update drawings as required, based on client feedback or design changes.

7) Conduct site visits to gather information and verify measurements as needed.

8) Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during the manufacturing process.

9) Maintain organized project files and manage drawing revisions effectively.

10) Proven experience in joinery detailing, cabinetry design, or woodworking.

11) Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite.

12) Strong understanding of woodworking principles, materials, and joinery techniques.

13) Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.

14) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

15) Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in drawing.

16) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design issues.

17) Time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.

18) Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and contract documents.

19) Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus.

20) May require occasional travel to job sites.

21) Office-based position with some time spent in a workshop environment.
