Tax Consultant (2-4 yrs)

Designation - Senior Tax Consultant

Locations - Mumbai & Pune

Domain - Direct Tax (GMS - Global Mobility Services)

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assist in providing tax advice, ensuring optimum tax benefits for the employer and employee.

- Conducting entry and exit meetings with expatriates/assignees and assisting them with local registrations, preparation and filing of personal tax returns, and requisite compliances relating to the assignment.

- Assist in compensation structuring, advising on both domestic and cross-border employee stock option plans.

- Assist clients in payroll/withholding tax compliance.

- Assist in advisory and compliance services relating to setting up of liaison offices, visa, social security, etc.

- Understand various tax treaties and apply relevant articles of the treaty when finalizing personnel tax returns / advisory work.

- Assist with advisory work about FEMA (applicable to expatriates/individuals)

- Ensure filing/document management from an internal review perspective.

- Compliance with the firm's internal risk management policies and client administration.

- Ensure proficiency with the firm & internal tools and technologies to upload client deliverables, etc.

- Making presentations on current topics in internal training.

- Ensure client trackers, and billing trackers, are up to date and provide real-time updates.

Qualifications

- Qualification: CMA /MBA Finance

- Good Communication.

- Experience in Individual taxation during Articleship will be an added advantage Skills.

- Good Communication/presentation skills.

- Possess good analytical skills and the ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment

- Strong knowledge of income-tax and working knowledge in FEMA, Banking/NBFC Regulations, Insurance, ARCs, etc.

- Delivery of multiple engagements with quality standards and as per the agreed timelines.

- Good people and client management skills.

- Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels across the organization
