Senior Php Wordpress Developer

Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior PHP & WordPress Developer with a strong focus on understanding and enhancing existing codebases, designing efficient testing strategies, and managing code deployments between development and production environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP and WordPress development, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of working with US clients.

This role involves collaborating with global teams and requires flexibility to work across EU and US time zones.

Responsibilities

• Codebase Understanding: Thoroughly review and understand existing codebases and developer documentation to identify areas for improvement and implement structured changes.
• Testing & Deployment Strategies: Design and implement testing strategies to ensure code quality and manage the code push processes between development and production environments.
• Development & Maintenance: Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize WordPress websites for SEO, performance, and scalability.
• Plugin Development: Work with advanced WordPress tools, including the Elementor plugin, to build and enhance website functionality.
• Hosting Management: Manage hosting environments on platforms like SiteGround and others.
• Version Control: Utilize Git and other code version management tools for effective collaboration.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality projects.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.

Qualification

• Fluent English Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• US Client Experience: Proven track record of working with clients in the US.
• Codebase Analysis: Strong ability to review, understand, and work with existing code and developer documentation.
• Testing & Deployment: Experience designing testing strategies and managing code pushes between dev and prod environments.
• PHP Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of PHP programming experience.
• WordPress Proficiency: At least 5+ years of WordPress and plugin development experience.
• SEO Knowledge: 3+ years of hands-on experience optimizing WordPress websites for SEO.
• Elementor Plugin: Practical experience with Elementor plugin development and customization.
• Hosting Platforms: Hands-on experience with SiteGround and other hosting platforms.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and other code version management tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with global work environments and a willingness to work across EU and US time zones.
