Back End Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless frontend integration.
• Manage and optimise databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), ensuring efficient queries and indexing.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices using JWT, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Work with Azure or AWS cloud platforms, deploying and managing backend services.
• Utilise Docker and Kubernetes for containerised application deployment.
• Implement caching strategies using Redis or Memcached to improve application performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Write unit tests and integration tests using xUnit, NUnit, or Moq to ensure code reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance and security.
• Stay up to date with the latest .NET technologies and best practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 3-8 years of experience in backend development with C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
• Strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework (EF) or Dapper.
• Expertise in working with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services (Azure App Services, AWS Lambda, EC2, etc.).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based deployments.
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) or event-driven architecture is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
