Business Systems Analyst

As part of the Compliance Platform Technology organization, this role expects high standards of engineering excellence with strong conceptual understanding in design, develop, test and maintain data solutions that helps PayPal satisfy the standards/policy requirements of the regulatory agencies in countries that PayPal operates in. Responsibilities will consist primarily of understanding business/data requirements, build data model, design and build pipelines to support Compliance programs.

The Compliance Regulatory Reporting team plays a crucial role in ensuring PayPal adheres to global regulatory obligations. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, building data models and designing ETL pipelines for delivering reports. This involves creating efficient tools and processes to streamline compliance reporting that ensures data accuracy. Youll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Additionally, you will continuously enhance the platform to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements. Your contributions will help maintain PayPals compliance and regulatory standards on a global scale.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Partner with Product Owners to build data model and deliver technical solutions. Take ownership and drive the design, development, and delivery of BQ pipelines with the team.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Document, review queries and add controls to improve efficiency and data accuracy of reports.

• 4 - 8 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong SQL programming skills and good knowledge of GCP Big Query, Python, Unix scripting.
• Familiar with data movement techniques and best practices to handle large volumes of data.
• Great verbal, communication and follow through skills.
• Oversee the daily activities of the engineering team, ensuring efficient workflow within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Be a collaborative team player who works effectively across various teams within PayPal with integrity and commitment.
• Address and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of projects.
