Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Executive with a strong background in online bidding and working on platforms like Upwork. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in business development within an IT services company. You will be responsible for generating leads, acquiring new clients, and expanding the companys presence on freelancing platforms. This role requires excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the IT services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through online platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, and Guru.
  • Online Bidding: Create and submit compelling bids and proposals tailored to client requirements, ensuring high conversion rates.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring service delivery excellence.
  • Project Scoping: Analyze client requirements and translate them into project scopes, including timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new trends, potential clients, and opportunities in the IT services industry.
  • Negotiation & Closing Deals: Negotiate project terms, pricing, and payment schedules. Close business deals while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with technical teams to understand capabilities, prepare project proposals, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
  • Reporting: Maintain a record of proposals, bids, and negotiations. Report on the status of proposals, leads, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Client Onboarding: Handle client onboarding processes and ensure smooth communication between clients and delivery teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales, specifically in online bidding and platforms like Upwork.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong background in the IT services industry, with a good understanding of software development, web development, mobile applications, and IT solutions.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing business from freelancing platforms and managing client relationships.
  • Proposal Writing Skills: Strong expertise in writing tailored and persuasive proposals that address client requirements effectively.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while ensuring profitability for the company.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand client needs, conduct competitive analysis, and offer relevant solutions.
  • Knowledge of Tools: Familiarity with CRM tools (like HubSpot, Zoho CRM) and online bidding platforms (Upwork, Freelancer, etc.).
  • Tech-Savvy: Understanding of IT services, technologies, and trends in the IT sector.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Cold Calling and other lead-generation strategies.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing strategies for client acquisition.
  • Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
