Business analyst with Data Governance

Strategy*

Define and deliver plan for CPM data quality controls remediation. Ensure alignment and adoption of this plan with stakeholders across CIB, COO, Operations, Technology, Compliance and Operational Risk. Align the strategy with the wider requirements from the internal bank DQ Standards to ensure a consistent operating model

Business*

Define and implement DQ controls to ensure ongoing compliance with DQ Standard requirements impacting CPM. Ensure considerations such as new business, systems and products are appropriately risk assessed for their potential impact on DQ risks.

Processes*

Define, groom and deliver user stories aligned to the Data Management strategy for CPM, including the remediation of elevated risks, especially Data quality. Define global control standards and roll these out across the CPM process, with particular focus on establishing controls around data with known quality issues. Ensure ongoing monitoring such as MIS and ORF metrics are in place to ensure adherence to these control standards. Work across Business/Function boundaries for example with Coverage and Markets teams, to identify best practices and ensure efficient use of resources in managing DQ. Be able to communicate and represent the key DQ Management processes to key stakeholders across CPM, COO, Technology, Compliance and Operational Risk.

People & Talent *

Work within the COO data team to ensure staff are appropriately skilled, motivated and enabled to deliver and maintain a high quality control environment across the data quality management processes. Ensure that appropriate training is provided for those impacted

Risk Management*

Define and oversee implementation of appropriate daily monitoring and management of DQ management activities to ensure operational and compliance risks are effectively mitigated. Define and evolve DQ controls reporting and key metrics for stakeholders, including into relevant forums and committees. Ensure change activity is actively risk managed, holding to account delivery to plans and standards set and defined by CIB COO data governance.

Governance *

Develop a deep understanding of the DQ risk management processes and governance processes within CIB and leverage these to ensure that the DQ management risks are appropriately captured and escalated. Lead Operational Risk control framework assessments/updates for DQ management processes and associated controls remediation, in partnership with relevant control and compliance functions. Contribute to NFRC and other relevant risk committee papers and ensure key messages and risk ratings are appropriately defined and reported

Key stakeholders*

• Ensure close collaboration is fostered within CIB, COO, Operations Technology and other teams to ensure successful delivery of processes and controls to mitigate data risks to the CIB business
• Ensure connectedness to the Risk/Control community, ensuring stakeholders are aware of key risks, issues and action plans
• Interface with in-country stakeholders to ensure alignment on key data priorities, control framework standards and associated changes
