Associate / Sr. Associate -Business Analyst -Data Sourcing

Role & responsibilities

• The role involves acting as the primary liaison for external data vendors, managing data and digital innovation contract renewals, and facilitating future expansions.
• Responsibilities include overseeing strategic data vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Additionally, the role requires expanding data sourcing services, onboarding new business unit managed data contracts, and supporting digital innovation initiatives.
• Regular monitoring of service usage, optimizing data programs, and providing compliance oversight are also essential. Commercial management duties include cost control, identifying savings opportunities, and consolidating products
• Be the key liaison for the external information vendors; supports existing data and digital innovation contract renewals, and future expansion and new demands.
• Total Relationship management with our strategic data vendors; Be responsible for managing these relationships including contract negotiations for new subscriptions, renewal or termination.
• Managed > 100 data vendor contracts renewals (including newly onboarded contracts). Ensure ongoing compliance with contractual terms, including usage restrictions, data distribution rights, and renewal schedules

Preferred candidate profile

• Demonstrated experience with Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Refinitiv and MSCI tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Driven, self-starter, adaptable, organised, with experience and ability to multi-task well in a fast-paced and demanding environmen
• 3+ years of experience in a data management role, in Investment Asset Management industry will be an advantage
• Notably strong commercial negotiation skills and a good knowledge of compliance ideally from a market data background
