Position: Vendor Development Specialist

Location: Kondhapuri

Your contributions to organisations growth:

The Supplier Development Engineer position will work in a team environment as a key technical resource for the Global Supply Chain organization to develop new supply sources and to improve existing supplier.
By using advanced knowledge of manufacturing technology fundamentals of Mechanical commodities such as Casting, Forging machining and mechanical assembly parts, expectation of the role is to help CEM Division to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its management.
Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes of BCIN /BCAG and program manage implementation of supplier within internal team until release for operational procurement.
Carry out new supplier technical due diligence validation audits, with supplier support and supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Develop suppliers for large part machining with related documentation is added advantage.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical problems associated with product supply and test facilities.
Float RFQs for various development requirements (e.g., parts, toolings, patterns) & Negotiate with suppliers and place purchase orders.
Work with internal interfaces like Engineering and Category management, Technical specialists, and Supply chain excellence as necessary during development phases and implementation of learnings as well process optimization.
Support and coordinate with BCx Production network on parts development as well supply chain optimization projects

Expertise you have to bring in along with;

8 - 10 years experience in Supply Chain development with exposure to strategic / operational procurement & Machining specialist.
Experience in developing and implementing vendor qualification
Experience in Large Casting and Forging machining, Special process implementations or vendor development of Machined parts will be added advantage.
Knowledge of quality and business systems
Commercial and financial acumen
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP),Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Experience with cross functional management,Understanding manufacturing processes & Planning and prioritising activities.
Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
Strong negotiation and influential skills & Ability to present data effectively
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Good analytical and conceptual skills combined with ability to drive results.
Strong problem-solving skills and expertise to develop and execute objectives for self and others and the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Experience / Knowledge of working in SAP-Environment with MM module. MS Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
